Get ARDMS Certification

Specialty exams include abdomen (AB), breast (BR), and obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). A cardiac concentration student can earn the RDCS credential by taking the SPI exam and the corresponding adult echocardiography (AE) specialty exam. A vascular concentration student can earn the RVT credential by taking the SPI exam and the corresponding vascular technology (VT) specialty exam. Once registered, the ARDMS can help sonographers find free online classes to earn ultrasound CMEs, needed for registration renewal. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) also offers sonography certification.
