Sonography Training Programs in Delaware 2017

As of 2017, Delaware has two ultrasound schools offering training programs which are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Between the two schools there are three options. Students can earn an Associate degree with a general ultrasound technology concentration, an Associate degree with a vascular concentration, or an Associate degree with a cardiac concentration. Specializing through cardiac or vascular sonography training can significantly increase earnings beyond the state average. Delaware employers recognize the importance of credentialing, so sonographers earning degrees or finishing their training should take the next step and get ARDMS certified. Once credentialed, there are jobs available in hospitals, health care centers and physician offices.
