Sonography Educational Programs in South Carolina
Ultrasound technology students can select to attend one of two accredited CAAHEP sonography schools in South Carolina in 2017 for classroom and clinical training. Both schools are technical colleges. Greenville Technical College offers an Associate degree in general sonography. Horry Georgetown Technical College offers a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program that leads to a certificate in general sonography. It is important to become an ARDMS registered sonographer because the credential gives employers the assurances they want that students have mastered the classroom and clinical training.
