Jacksonville, Florida is located in the northern section of the state and is only 25 miles south of the Georgia state line. There is a large urban park system and an active art and culture community. Students can get a high quality education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography at the CAAHEP accredited program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center as of 2017. The program only admits six students annually. The accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is important to the student’s future since programs only earn the rating by meeting stringent requirements for program content.
